Jackson
Truett, a renowned pianist, keyboard player and composer,
is one of Houston's finest musicians. He was signed with Mercury
Records and played on CBS, ABC, NBC, and made commercials for
COKE, MAX FACTOR and HIS. He has entertained the DUPONTS and
ROCKEFELLERS in their homes and played most of the major universities
in America. Jackson Truett was the house pianist
for the University Club in Houston from 1984-2000.
Jackson
Truett performs as a solo Pianists
or with an ensemble of world class musicians in a variety of
configurations. The following performers play with Jackson to
create a two to five piece band:
Victor
De La Garza plays String Bass
(Acoustic) and 6 string (Electric) and also sings. Victor not
only keeps the bottom popping with a great groove, he plays
with a smile that sometimes turns into laughter. Victor is truly
one of Houston's Best Musicians.
Cloris
Grimes plays Sax and has
played with some of the hottest acts in show business. Cloris
spent 11 years with Millie Jackson and the Jackson 5. He continues
to make occasional concert gigs. He always finds the most expressive
mood for every selection. Cloris makes it feel and sound as
good as you'll hear anywhere.
Ardis
Turner is the Band's Vocalist
and specializes in Jazz standards, R&B and Blues. Ardis
has the stage presence and voice of a seasoned, quality performer
and consummate entertainer. Ardis always moves his audiences
with his deep down soulful renditions.
Richard
Razo plays Drums and sings.
Richard comes from a family of world class professional musicians
and is best know for his tenure (1977-1998) with the Ricky Diaz
Band. Richard plays with the most unique and pulsating style.
He drives the band with a continuing passion. His vocals are
expressive and smooth.
