The original Radio London Band was formed in 1986 and consisted of five (5) musicians performing music from the classic rock and ‘80’s pop/rock genres. In 1987, originals members Rufus Crowder (guitarist/vocalist) and Tom Belden (keyboards) decided that the times dictated a need for female vocals as the band began to take a turn from rock towards pop and rhythm and blues. Lead vocalist Lisa Crowder was added to the mix (of course she wasn’t “Crowder” then, it took ten years for Rufus to take the plunge!). As the group evolved, the early 1990’s brought terrific exposure for Radio London in many Houston hot spots as well as increasing demand for the band at private parties. Seventeen years later, Radio London has built a well-known reputation for professionalism and top-notch entertainment in Texas.
