Rick Marcel and the Radiance Band has been an established act since 1993, going strong 10+ years, this band has performed a wide variety of shows anywhere from the most modest clients to the more energetic party group. With over 200 songs to choose from The Radiance Band can accommodate any size, any age group, and any type of crowd.

The Radiance Band is a highly sought after band that consist of 6 pieces, one male lead and guitarist, two lead female vocalist, a female keyboardist, a female bassist, Drums and a optional saxophonist. One of the greatest assets about the band is that the style on music varies from Rock ‘n’ Roll, Funk, 80’s pop, Jazz, R&B, Motown and even some hip hop. So you'll never hear the same thing all night.

If you want a high energy show that you’ll never want to end, or if you just need to accommodate a more sophisticated crowd, The Radiance Band does it all. Professionalism and experience puts this Band in first at making your special event “Special”.

About Rick Marcel

The name Rick Marcel has become a very influential household name. Born in Rochester, NY, April 15, 1966 Rick Marcel set out with a vision as a child to differentiate himself from the “ordinary” musician. At the tender age of ten he began playing the bass guitar as a primary instrument. After mastering the basics he soon took the same passion for learning the bass and put it into guitar. As a natural born leader he formed his band in 198. He named the band “Radiance” as stated by Webster : radiating rays or reflecting beams of light, vividly bright and shining, GLOWING. "Radiance" the band was a major essence of the music scene in Rochester NY. Eager to become all that he could be, Rick left New York in 1985 to work in Minneapolis with artist such as, The Artist Formerly known as Prince, Tony La Mans, Mavis Staples and many more. As a well rounded musician he move to Los Angeles to work as a producer and there he established Marcel Productions. In 1993, He moved to Houston, TX where he immediately became a household name by climbing to the top of the who’s who among Houston’s musicians. Rick then reformed his band as Rick Marcel and the Radiance Band, which consist of up to seven pieces and is one of the most highly sought after bands’ throughout the city. The Radiance Band plays a wide variety of music from Motown, R&B, Funk, Rock and Roll to good ole fashion Blues.

As a renowned musician/vocalist throughout the city, Rick is also a group member of the Abundant Life Cathedral and performs live in and out of the city.

Unstoppable, as most would describe him, his skill and technique have become so unquestionable, as a seasoned musician, Rick has been blessed with the opportunity to work with various artist and nationally recognized record labels including Cash Money Records. Rick is definitely history in the making, and is considered to be notorious for being a Musician Extraordinaire.
