Selecting Music for Your Cocktail/Social Hour:

After the ceremony, before the reception festivities start, friends and family like to talk and mingle. This "Cocktail/Social Hour" is commonly complimented with soft background music consisting of light jazz, classical, and/or easy listening.

Examples of music:

• The Musicians that played for your Ceremony.
• The most common choice is acoustic piano (If you have booked a band for the reception, check to see if the pianist in the band can also play for your Social Hour). There is usually a small fee.
• Harp or Harp & Flute, Harp & Classical Guitar, other Harp combinations.
• Piano & Sax, or Piano & other other instruments.
• Strolling Mariachis
• String Quartets, Trios, or other combinations of Strings
• Jazz Band
• DJ’s can also provide soft background music
  * A vocalist can also be added to most of the above.
