Texas Blazing Pianos Satellite Players
As demand for dueling piano entertainment increases, so does the need for us to bring on more talent. We are pleased to feature the rising stars of Houston. This page is dedicated to the auxilliary players of Texas Blazing Pianos.

Jen Rathbun

With a master’s degree in music therapy, Jen worked in hospitals and schools using elements of music as a means to treat patients with disabilities. When Jen caught the bug for performing, she quit her noble job to start performing full-time. She won the National Singer/Songwriter Auditions and as a result, signed onto Nashville’s Platinum Plus Universal label. With Platinum Plus, she recorded her critically acclaimed album, “Coffee, Chocolate & Men.” Meanwhile, she was nominated for Best Female Vocalist and Best Musician through MyTexasMusic and has seen her single, “Married, Buried, or Gay,” stay on the top of the TexasTop40 charts for 2 months. Recently, Jen’s song “Maybe” was nominated for Best Cabaret Song, and her album, “Coffee, Chocolate & Men” was nominated for Best Cabaret Album for 2006, through Just Plain Folks, the largest networking organization of musicians and industry professionals in the world. Jen lives in Houston with her husband, three cats, a turtle, and a fish.


Robert Coler

Robert has been playing for a multitude of years on percussion, drums, and keyboards. His genres range from conventional jazz to country as well as funk to Latin. Robert is currently the music director at Faith Community Church in Alvin, Texas and is a studio musician in the Houston area. He also owns & operates Integrity Productions, an audio/lighting production and DJ company. Additionally, he has worked with many locals bands such as (on keys) Infinite Groove, Pete Espinoza (of La Fiebre), Edge, Steely Dan Tribute Band; (on drums) El Vibes, Mark Zeus & The Thunderboltz, Guilty Party, and Mark Halata & Texavia. He is currently attending Sam Houston State University studying to receive his Bachelors of Arts & Humanities with a major in mass communication.
